The growth of KRTU's student, community, and staff involvement has increased over the years, from a purely-volunteer lab to what is today a highly-active professional institution with a devoted staff of 6, 20+ community volunteers, and almost 40 students working as interns, managers, or on-air hosts.
KRTU is still operated out of the Trinity Department of Communication, with the Chair, Dr. William Christ, serving as General Manager, and the rest of the Communication faculty involved as the station's Board of Trustees.
